The Rotary Peace Fellowships for 2025 2026 are funded opportunities to international students pursuing masters degrees. These scholarships specifically cater to masters level studies. The program includes coverage for tuition fees, accommodation and meals transportation to and, from the destination as all costs related to internships and field studies.




Rotary Peace Fellowships are granted to a maximum of 150 students. These fellowships are provided for individuals seeking to pursue either a Professional Development Certificate Program or a Masters Degree Program in fields related to peace, conflict resolution and prevention.


Since its inception, in 2002 the Rotary Peace Centers have trained over 1,400 fellows who currently serve across than 115 countries. Many of these fellows hold leadership positions in sectors such as government, non governmental organizations (NGOs) the military, academia, law enforcement and international bodies like the United Nations and the World Bank.


Institutions offering Rotary Peace Fellowships include;

  •  Duke University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA)
  •  Uppsala University (Sweden)
  •  Chulalongkorn University (Thailand) for certificate programs


Please note; Recipients of the fellowship cannot undertake their studies at a Rotary Peace Center located within their home country. However candidates from Thailand are an exception. Can attend the center, at Chulalongkorn University.

Eligibility Requirements, for Rotary Peace Fellowships


Rotary Peace Fellowships target individuals with backgrounds in relations or peacebuilding. Candidates must fulfill the criteria;

  • Qualifying Countries; All nations worldwide
  • Proficiency in English; proficiency in a language is highly recommended
  • Outstanding leadership abilities
  • Dedication to promoting international understanding and peace evidenced by professional and academic accomplishments as well as personal or community involvement
  • Candidates for Masters degrees; at least three years of relevant full time work or volunteer experience along with a bachelors degree
  • Candidates for Certificates; at least five years of relevant full time work or volunteer experience plus a strong academic foundation

Application Process 


To apply for Rotary Peace Fellowships you need to follow these steps;

1. Go through the application guidelines. Make sure you meet the eligibility criteria.

2. Explore the programs offered at each Rotary Peace Center and rank your two choices.

3. Get your application ready, which should include your resume, essays, recommendations, transcripts and test scores, in English. If you're applying for a certificate program transcripts and scores are not required.

4. Reach out to your Rotary district for an interview before submitting your application as their endorsement's necessary. Your local Rotary club can assist in connecting you with the district.

5. Submit your application to your district by May 15th before scheduling any interviews.
6. Participate in an interview with district representatives as they need to endorse you by July 1st.

7. Wait until November to hear about the selection results and find out which Peace Center you'll be studying at if selected.

8. Apply for admission, to the university affiliated with your chosen Peace Center.


Getting chosen for the fellowship doesn't automatically guarantee your acceptance into the university.
