Please ensure that you carefully read all the instructions, on this page if you wish to apply for this scholarship.
Ashinaga has launched the "Ashinaga Africa Initiative" with the goal of providing education opportunities to 20 students from Sub Saharan African countries each year. These countries are among the worlds poorest. Our aim is to empower these students to become leaders in their own nations.
Our selection process involves identifying and screening candidates who are orphaned or have experienced bereavement but possess potential. These students face constraints when it comes to applying for university. To support them we offer a six month study camp at the Ashinagas facility, Kokorojuku located in Uganda and Senegal. During this camp they receive assistance and guidance in subjects and languages as they prepare themselves for applications to highly ranked universities worldwide. Additionally we provide them with scholarships. Cover their living expenses for four years throughout their studies abroad.
We anticipate that these educated young individuals will return to their countries equipped with the knowledge and skills to establish democratic societies that are both prosperous and fulfilling. This movement will ultimately contribute towards improving the well being of Sub countries by breaking the cycle of poverty. It is important to note that while the effects may not be immediate like those, from food or equipment donations they will have an impact.
The deadline, for submitting your application is January 12th, 2024.
