The University of Essex Scholarship Program, for Undergraduate Students is available to students from African Union member states who wish to pursue studies. Eligible applicants can receive a scholarship of £4,000.

Details about the University Of Essex Scholarship;


The scholarship offered by the University of Essex supports students who come from African Union member states and are financing their undergraduate studies.


You may qualify for a scholarship of £4,000, which will be deducted from your years tuition fee.


If you meet all the requirements, for eligibility you will be automatically considered for this award. There is no need to fill out an application form. The University will assess your eligibility based on the country where you reside and your fee status as indicated in your application for admission, to Essex.


Eligibility Criteria, for the University of Essex 2024 Scholarship.


To be eligible for the University of Essex scholarship you must meet the following requirements;


1. These scholarships are specifically for students who are paying fees and funding their studies independently.


2. Applicants must have their residence (as defined below) in a member country of the African Union.


3. You should enroll as a full time undergraduate student at the University of Essex in October 2024-25 starting from your year (Year 1).


4. If you apply through UCAS you need to select Essex as your choice by July 12th, 2024. It's important to note that if you become firm with Essex after being rejected by your choice elsewhere you won't be eligible. Direct applicants must accept their offer by July 12th, 2024.


5. This award cannot be combined with any scholarships offered by the University of Essex.


6. The scholarship is only available for the year of study (Year 1) at level, in 2024-25.


7. Successful applicants may be requested to participate in activities.


Students who receive a loan to cover their study expenses will still be considered as self funded.


These criteria apply to courses leading to a Diploma of Higher Education, Bachelors Degree or Integrated Masters (four years).
